Crystal Piper is an associate professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences. She is a trained health services researcher, and her interests in health disparities have been shaped over the past 15 years, and are guided by her belief that quality health care is a right and not a privilege.
Jan Warren-Findlow is an associate professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences. She is a public health gerontologist with expertise in chronic disease self-management and social, psychological and behavioral factors that influence chronic disease outcomes.
Larissa Huber, Ph.D., studied anthropology and mathematics as an undergraduate. Her interests in both of these fields led her to pursue graduate degrees in Epidemiology. She completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Doctorate n Epidemiology at Emory University. Huber's research interests focus on reproductive epidemiology.
Melinda Forthofer, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Public Health Sciences in the College of Health and Human Services. Prior to UNC Charlotte,Forthofer was on the fUniversity of South Florida faculty (1996-2006) and at the University of South Carolina (2006-16).
Michael Thompson, Ph.D., is an associate professor and associate chair of Public Health Sciences. He directs UNC Charlotte’s CAHME-accredited and nationally ranked Master of Health Administration program and its Health Informatics and Analytics programs.
Reginald Silver worked for 18 years as a healthcare executive before joining UNC Charlotte. He has been with the university for nearly a decade, serving as a clinical professor in business information systems and operations management.
Robert J. Cramer, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Public Health Sciences and Belk Distinguished Scholar in Health Research at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Holding a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, his expertise includes suicide prevention, mental health, hate crimes, violence prevention, sexual and gender minority health, and theories of health and personality.
