Jack Scheff, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography & Earth Sciences. He is a leading researcher on how climate change affects Earth's water cycle, including precipitation, evaporation, river flow, and plant water use. He teaches a popular class on climate change at UNC Charlotte. Dr. Scheff has been working at UNC Charlotte since 2017.

Marek Ranis (PL/USA) is an associate professor of Art in the College of Art + Architecture at UNC Charlotte. He is a multi-media environmental artist. Through sculpture, installation, painting, photography and video, Ranis is exploring social, political and anthropological aspects of phenomena such as the climate change.
