Wills Citty is Director of Communications for the College of Education. He leads public relations efforts for the college, managing the communications strategy and publishing content frequently on their respective websites and social media accounts. Wills also provides communications support for the college's numerous events, leading promotional efforts and collaborating with the UNC Charlotte central public relations office on securing media placements. He supports the University's media relations teams on priority projects and media training.

After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in broadcast journalism, Wills went on to earn a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he concentrated on media law and the First Amendment.

He has previously worked in TV and radio news, including anchoring and producing a local edition of NPR’s “All Things Considered” at WUFT-TV in Gainesville. While in law school, Wills worked in digital communications for the National Press Photographers Association, where he wrote about the group’s efforts to preserve important constitutional rights. After gaining admission to the Florida Bar, he decided to follow his passion for communications, accepting a position with UNC Charlotte and becoming a member of Niner Nation.
